Public Health Nurse

FNHA Public Health Nurses come to the Hagwilget Health Station every Tuesday from 10:30am till 3:00pm. providing:

Immunizations -  for infants, children, youth, adults and elders. - contact PHN at the Health Station on Tuesdays for vaccine status inquiries

​

Pre & postnatal information - pregnancy testing, pregnancy options, prenatal resources & education, + free prenatal vitamin's. as well as after birth & newborn information, breastfeeding support & healthy parenting information 

​

Communicable disease follow up - T.B testing & follow up, information & follow up for reportable diseases 

​

harm reduction - take home naloxone kits & training for community members, clean supplies, condoms, smoking & drug use cessation information

​

health education & information - Blood pressure & blood sugar screening, age-specific health information for all stages of life, lunch & learns, school based presentations on hand-washing, puberty, & sexual health.
