The Community Health Nurse (CHN) works under the First Nations Health Authority, and visits our community every Thursday. The CHN hosts “well-baby” clinics, pre and post natal care clinics, provides child and flu immunizations, monitors chronic disease and provides general information to community members.
The Community Health Nurse programs encourage prevention and safety.
Mary-Ann Speirs is the Community Health Nurse. She visits our community once a week on Monday. Her responsibility is to provide well-baby clinics along with pre and post natal care; provide immunizations for babies and immunizations for flu; monitor chronic disease and to provide information to community members. The focus of this program is to encourage prevention and safety.
Mary-Ann works under the First Nations Health Authority.
