The Hagwilget Village Council works with the following schools:
The Educational department of the Hagwilget Village Council monitors students attendance and provides alternative after school programs for children who live on reserve and are struggling at school.
All students who live on reserve are eligible to receive incentive rewards. From September to June, students who have perfect attendance, achieve an A, B or merit honour roll and are strongly involved in the community are eligible to receive awards.
Past awards have been iPad minis and trips to the PNE. Each year new awards will be selected.
Community involvement, including volunteering with elders, is highly regarded and strongly encouraged for these awards.
